Description

The villa is located in the municipality of Pienza , in the province of Siena , in the heart of Val d`Orcia . It is an old farmhouse that has been recently renovated, in which modern style melts with the traditional rural style of stone country houses.

In front of the villa stands the castle of Spedaletto, which was built in the 12th century along the Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrimage road that in the Middle Ages run from northern Europe to Rome.

Around the estate stretch many unsurfaced white roads along which guests can have wonderful walks. Bagno Vignoni and its thermal establishments, some tennis courts and a riding stable are within a few kilometres of the villa. Siena , Florence , Arezzo , Montepulciano and Lake Trasimeno are within easy driving distance.


The Outdoors

The building is surrounded by a wide garden with a pergola of wild grape furnished for having meals al fresco. In the garden are also the barbecue equipment, three swings and some bicycles.
Just a few metres from the villa lies the private swimming pool (6x12 m; depth: 1.20-1.40 m). The pool side is equipped with sunshades, sun loungers and deck chairs.
Cultivated fields, a small vineyard and a vegetable garden stretch beyond the garden.


Accommodation

The villa is a two-storey building sleeping 8+2 guests in 4 double bedrooms and 2 single pouf beds; the villa has 4 bathrooms.

On the ground floor is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
On the first floor are the well-equipped kitchen, the dining room, a reading room and three bedrooms, all of which have an ensuite bathroom (one of the bathrooms is equipped with whirlpool shower).
Two single pouf beds can be added in the reading room or in two of the bedrooms.

The first floor is accessed from the garden.
