Description

The beautiful villa is a farmhouse dating back to the late 19th century that has been renovated and transformed into a cosy country house.

The building stands at the centre of a large fully fenced property situated atop a hill in the countryside between Lucca and Pisa, near Castelfranco di Sotto, and affords a splendid view of the surrounding hills. The Apennines are to be seen in the distance.

Thanks to its geographical position, the villa is an excellent departure point for one-day jaunts at the discovery of important Tuscan cities of art, such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Volterra and San Gimignano. The villages of the Chianti district and small towns like Vinci - which gave birth to the famous Leonardo - and Certaldo - the town of the Italian writer Giovanni Bocciaccio - are within short driving distance.

The bright rooms are furnished with some antique items.


The Outdoors

The villa is surrounded by a wide garden dotted with century-old trees.

The private swimming pool (11x5.5 m; depth: 1-3 m) a few metres from the building is fenced with a hedge and equipped with sun loungers and deck chairs.

The barbecue equipment and an ancient wood-burning oven are at guests' disposal in the garden. A large loggia is furnished with tables and chairs for having meals al fresco.


Accommodation

The villa is a three-storey building that sleeps 10 guests in 4 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, and has 4 bathrooms and 1 half bathroom.

On the ground floor are a large entry hall that opens onto a spacious living room with fireplace, the kitchen, the dining room and a half bathroom.
The first floor composes of a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a second double bedroom, a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and a large bathroom with bathtub.
On the second floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.

The living and the dining room have a direct access to the garden, whereas the two double bedrooms on the first floor have access to a balcony.
