Description
The beautiful villa is the result of the careful renovation of a barn dating from the early 20th century.
Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, the building is situated just a few kilometres from San Gimignano and is an excellent departure point for one-day trips to Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Volterra, Pisa and many other tourist destinations in Tuscany and central Italy.
Some rooms of the house feature wood-beamed ceilings, which are a typical element of the traditional Tuscan rustic style.
The Outdoors
The building is surrounded by a garden furnished for having meals in the open air, in which is also the barbecue equipment.
A few metres from the house is an above-ground swimming pool (6.5x3.5 m; depth: 1.20 m) exclusively reserved to guests.
Accommodation
The villa is a two-storey building that sleeps 4+1 guests in 2 double bedrooms and 1 single sofa bed, and has 2 bathrooms and 1 half bathroom.
The ground floor composes of kitchen, living room with fireplace, dining area and single sofa bed, storeroom-laundry room and a half bathroom.
On the first floor are a living area, two double bedrooms (one with an ensuite bathroom with whirlpool bathtub) and a bathroom with shower.

The experience at Villa Poggibonsi was exceptional. The only suggestions I would make is (i) the kitchen needs a set of tongs and a coffee maker (ii) outside needs two more comfortable upright lawn chairs and (iii) the wi-fi signal is a little sporadic. Maria was great and very responsive.
