Description

The villa stands on a hill in Arezzo Valdichiana and enjoys wonderful views over the surrounding countryside and the near town of Civitella in Val di Chiana. Lake Trasimeno, Mount Amiata and the medieval towns of Monte San Savino and Cortona are to be seen in the distance.

The building is surrounded by a wide garden commanding a wonderful panorama, whereas behind the house stretch olive and oak groves.

Built at the end of the 19th century, the villa has been renovated with an eye to preserving the architectural elements typical of the Tuscan houses of that time, including terracotta-tiled floors, beamed ceilings and brick archways.

The spacious interiors are furnished in traditional Tuscan style.


Th Outdoors

The villa is fully fenced.

Partitioned by hedges and dotted with colourfully planted terracotta vases, the garden is provided with a night lighting system.

A row of mature trees screens the swimming pool situated in the lowest terrace from the house.

A second terrace is furnished with sun loungers and a table-tennis table. Just behind the kitchen is a barbecue. The space between the kitchen and the barbecue is furnished with table and chairs for having meals al fresco.

A set of stone stairs leads to the olive and oak groves stretching behind the house.

The villa offers 8+1 sleeping accommodations in 3 double-bedded rooms, 1 bedroom with two single beds, 1 single bed and 3 bathrooms.

Ground floor: hallway; living/dining room with fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, video recorder and access to one of the terraces; living room with stereo system and bookcases with books, DVDs and videocassettes; small sitting alcove with wicker furniture under the staircase; breakfast room with table sitting up to 12 persons and direct access to the rear terrace; fully equipped kitchen; large walk-in pantry with fridge/freezer; laundry room; one double-bedded room and a bathroom with shower.

Middle-top-floor: living room with big fireplace and access to the garden; two double-bedded rooms (one with canopied bed); a bedroom and a bathroom with double basin, bathtub and hand-held shower.

First floor: a bedroom with two single wrought-iron beds and a bathroom with bathtub and hand-held shower.

The villa is provided with swimming pool (open from May 14th to September 30th), barbecue equipment, heating system, fans, cot bed and high chair, satellite TV, video recorder, DVD player, CD player, Internet connection, oven, toaster, American-style coffee maker, washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, uncovered car park.

Pets are welcome upon request.
