Description

The villa is an old independent and fully renovated barn situated in Empoli countryside, in Montelupo Fiorentino, a village in the province of Florence renowned for its pottery. The villa stands on a hill about 230 metres above sea level and offers a wonderful 360° view over the surrounding countryside.

The villa is situated in a particularly charming area of Tuscany, just a few kilometres from Florence, Vinci, San Miniato, Pisa, Siena and other important Tuscan cities of art and culture.

The barn has been renovated with an eye to preserving its original structure and presents some traditional elements of the Tuscan rustic style, such as wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors.

Guests are granted the exclusive use of the garden and the swimming pool and upon arrival they will find a welcome pack including season`s fresh fruit, a bottle of extra-virgin olive oil and a bottle of red wine. Every week a culinary surprise is served, for guests to taste some dishes of the traditional Tuscan cuisine.

The owners live nearby and will be glad to help guests in case of need.


The Outdoors

The building is surrounded by a garden exclusively reserved for guests.

A wide veranda full of light is furnished with table, chairs and deck chairs for guests to relax and have their meals al fresco.

About 50 metres from the house lies the swimming pool exclusively reserved for guests (10.5x7.5 m; depth: 1.20-1.40 m), equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs and open from mid-May to September. The swimming pool features a whirlpool corner.


Accommodation

The villa sleeps 4+2 people in 2 double-bedded rooms and 1 double sofa bed, and has 2 bathrooms.

It composes of fully equipped kitchen, two double-bedded rooms with wrought-iron beds and two bathrooms with shower.

On the loft is a living room with fireplace and a double sofa bed.

The villa is provided with swimming pool with whirlpool corner, barbecue, fireplace, ceiling fans, heating system, alarm system, ADSL Internet connection, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system with CD player, kettle, microwave oven, American-style coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board, first-aid kit, hairdryer, safe and private covered parking place for two cars.

A baby sitter, a cook, a maid service, a breakfast service, some bicycles and a daily linen-change service are available upon request (additional charges apply).
