Description
The villa (20 sleeping accommodations) is situated next to a small village called Ville di Corsano, in the heart of the spellbinding region of the Crete senesi, with its magnificent white clay hills. The 18th-century building is surrounded by a luxuriant secular park offering a spectacular view of Siena. At guests` disposal: the 14x7-metre swimming pool, lying in an olive grove in the park and provided with sunloungers, tables and chairs for basking in the sun after a refreshing bath. Near the swimming pool there is a changing room with shower. The garden is furnished with tables and chairs for spending pleasant hours in the peaceful Tuscan countryside. The villa is provided with all comforts (Internet connection, satellite TV, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board) and is furnished in a mix of period and modern style. The rooms are decorated with frescoes and trompe l`oeil paintings, among which the representation of the Canticle of the Sun, painted by Dario Neri. In the neighbourhood of the villa are to be admired the 11th-century Romanesque church in Ville di Corsano and the castle in Grotti, which hosted the members of the famous Piccolomini family, whose most renowned representative, Enea Silvio, became Pope with the name of Pius II. The Etruscan ruins and the small museum in Murlo, Asciano and the abbey in Monte Oliveto Maggiore are worth a visit, as well. However, the high point of the area is Siena, where twice a year - July 2nd and August 16th - the famous Palio takes place. Numerous trekking paths surround the estate.

The villa (10 double bedrooms and 9 bathrooms) spreads out over three floors:
On the ground floor there are the living room, featuring large windows overlooking the park, a drawing room decorated with trompe l`oeil paintings of exotic flowers, plants and birds, a large dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, 1 Junior-Suite and 1 bathroom.
On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower, 1 double bedroom with TV and kitchenette, 1 twin-bedded room with bathtub and sink, 1 bedroom with two single beds and en-suite bathroom with shower and 1 bathroom with shower.
On the second floor are a further four bedrooms, set in a more rustic ambience than the floor below. A double bedroom with its terra cotta floors and wooden beamed ceilings has spectacular views of distant Siena. Its bathroom with shower is on the other side of the corridor. The next bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and a new en-suite bathroom with shower. A third bedroom has two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower. A fully-equipped and colourful kitchen with washing machine separates the third and fourth bedrooms. This fourth bedroom has a charming low-beamed ceiling, two twin beds, television and en-suite bathroom with shower and tub, featuring painted trompe l`oeuil tiles.
