Description

The villa is a carefully renovated peasant house located in Borgo San Lorenzo (Florence), which is considered the capital of Mugello. Founded by the Romans, in the past Borgo San Lorenzo hosted an agricultural market and was the theatre of the struggles between Guelphs and Ghibellines. Here, in the early 20th century, the Chini brothers founded Fornaci di San Lorenzo, a famous factory producing chinaware.

The villa has a stunning view over the Mugello hills and the surrounding countryside.

Just a few kilometres from the estate are two famous Medicean villas: the castle of Trebbio and the villa of Cafaggiolo. Thanks to its proximity to the motorway, the villa is an excellent departure point for visiting Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Arezzo, which are all easily reached by car. An outlet village where guests can purchase designer items at keen prices is near the property. In proximity to the villa are also a golf club, a riding stable and a tennis club.


The Outdoors

The villa is surrounded by a wide park in which are the barbecue equipment, a gazebo furnished with table, benches and chairs, and a table-tennis table.
About 20 metres from the house lies the private swimming pool (6x12 m; depth: 1.40-2.80 m), provided with springboard.
A warm whirlpool bathtub is at guests` disposal in the garden.

The villa sleeps 18 people in 6 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 4 supplementary single beds, and has 6 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are the large kitchen, a living room, two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower, the laundry room and a relax area with shower.
On the first floor are a large living room with fireplace, a living room with satellite TV, a kitchen with dining area, two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub, another double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub.

Four supplementary single beds are available upon request.
