Description

The holiday villa is located in southern Tuscany, in Castiglione d`Orcia (Siena), a village of Val d`Orcia. The villa was built in the early 20th century and has been renovated with an eye to preserving the original atmosphere and structures. The large rooms have terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings and are furnished in the traditional Tuscan rustic style and with antique furniture. The villa is immersed in the wonderful Tuscan countryside and its windows and the garden overlook mount Amiata and the villages of Radicofani, Campiglia d`Orcia and Rocca d`Orcia. The thermal baths of Bagni San Filippo and Bagno Vignoni are within a few kilometres from the estate. Many villages in the province of Siena housing big and small treasures of the Tuscan art, including Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, San Quirico d`Orcia and Monticchiello, are easily reached by car. Mountain lovers can trek on mount Amiata.


The Outdoors

The holiday villa is surrounded by a 6,500-square-metre garden furnished with tables and chairs. In the garden there are a barbecue, a gazebo with tables and garden benches and the panoramic swimming pool (7.50x15 m; depth: 1.35-1.45 m). The pool side is furnished with wrought-iron sun loungers, chairs, deck chairs and sunshades.In the garden are also some swings and a slide for children. The high hedge that surrounds the estate grants the utmost privacy.


Accommodation

The villa is a two-storey building divided into four apartments; it sleeps 12+3 guests in 3 double bedrooms, 2 triple bedrooms, 1 supplementary single bed and 1 double sofa bed, and has 5 bathrooms and 1 half bathroom.

Each apartment has its own living room with fireplace, dining area and kitchen corner, independent heating system and satellite TV.

Two apartments are on the ground floor and one is on the first floor. One of the apartments on the ground floor is accessible to people with disabilities.

On the ground floor are also a wide common room with fireplace and well-equipped kitchenette and a half bathroom.

The two triple bedrooms are lofted, and a single bed is in the loft. All of the bedrooms have their own private bathroom.

A supplementary single bed can be added in the loft of one of the triple bedrooms, and a double sofa bed is in the living room on the first floor.
