The villa stands in the heart of Val d`Orcia natural park, along the via Francigena, the medieval pilgrimage route connecting north-western Europe with Rome. The villa is an ancient cottage dating back to the 18th century, once a refreshment point for foreigners and travellers. The villa is divided into three apartments furnished in the typical early 20th century rustic style. A wide garden provided with barbecue equipment and wood burning oven surrounds the villa for guests to have their meals al fresco. The villa commands the Orcia river and the characteristic village of Bagno Vignoni, which is well renowned for its thermal waters.
