Description

The villa (10 sleeping accommodations) is immersed in that part of the Tuscan countryside where the famous film "The English Patient" was shot. Surrounded by olive groves for the production of one of the best Italian olive oils, the villa commands the Medieval town walls of Castelmuzio, a small village the Etruscan founded over 2500 years ago, and the Monte Amiata. The villa stands a few kilometres away from Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza and is the ideal starting point for trips to the Chianti district, whose hills are covered with vineyards and olive groves, and to important cities of art and culture, such as Siena, Florence and Rome. In the restaurants in the neighbourhood of the villa gourmets can taste the typical Tuscan dishes made of truffle, pore mushrooms and wild boar. Guests can relax bathing in the swimming pool (16x7 m) or sitting in the wide garden provided with outdoor furniture. The villa is provided with all comforts (dishwasher, fridge with freezer, hi-fi system, satellite TV, DVD/CD player). In the laundry there are a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Towels and bed linen are supplied and changed mid week. At their arrival, guests receive a welcome basket containing some local agricultural products.


Accommodation

The two-storey villa (5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms) features an external staircase, a typical element of Tuscan rural architecture.

Ground floor: fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge with freezer, electric kettle, coffee-maker, microwave oven and a big fireplace; living/dining room with a big oak table and sofa; two double bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom), a twin bedroom and a bathroom. The kitchen opens onto a patio furnished for outdoor meals.
First floor: double bedroom with ensuite bathroom; small bedroom; living/dining room with TV and DVD/CD player, kitchenette and bathroom.
