Description

The villa stands 270 metres above sea level on a hill in Monteroni d`Arbia, a village in the Crete Senesi, in the province of Siena. It is a building dating back to the 13th century, which has been recently renovated with an eye to preserving its original structure. The villa is part of a farm engaged in breeding and in the cultivation of olive trees and cereals.

Nearby Poggio Napoleone offers a wonderful view over Siena, the Crete Senesi and Monte Amiata. In proximity to the villa are some tennis courts, a golf club and some thermal baths. Some Etruscan excavations are just a few kilometres from the estate, whereas Siena, Montalcino, Pienza and other Tuscan tourist destinations are within easy car reach.


The Outdoors

Around the building stretches a private garden of about 3,000 metres, bordered with a hedge and furnished with a gazebo, tables and chairs.

About 6 metres from the building lies the private swimming pool (10x4 m; depth: 1.50 m), open from May 1st to the end of September. The pool side is furnished with sun loungers.

A portico of about 50 metres is furnished with tables and chairs for having meals al fresco. Here is also the barbecue equipment.

The villa is a two-storey building; it sleeps 14+1 people in 4 double-bedded rooms, 3 twin-bedded rooms and 1 supplementary single bed, and has 5 bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of entry hall with kitchenette, equipped kitchen, dining room, one double-bedded room with ensuite bathroom with shower, and a toilette.
On the first floor are three double-bedded rooms, three rooms with two single beds that can be united to create a double bed and three bathrooms with shower.

A single bed can be added in any bedroom on the first floor upon request.

The French door in the dining room opens on the portico furnished for having meals al fresco.
