Description

The farmhouse (6 sleeping accommodations) is situated in Garfagnana, in the Apuan Alps Park, just a few kilometres from Castelnuovo Garfagnana. The building stands in panoramic position atop a hill overlooking both the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine. The farmhouse is the ideal accommodation for those who dream of relaxing holidays at the discovery of small less-known but nevertheless charming towns, such as the submerged village of Fabbriche di Careggine (reappearing every 10 years, when the hydroelectric basin is emptied). The famous "Grotta del Vento" (Wind Cave) in Fornovolasco is just a few kilometres from the farmhouse, as well. Lucca and Versilia, with its beaches, are within easy car distance. Those who love trekking can do long excursions in the woods surrounding the estate, whereas those who love fishing can dedicated to their favourite sport in the waters of the Edron river, which flows close to the farmhouse. The building is surrounded by a garden that slopes towards the Edron river and is covered with fruit and fir trees.


Accommodation

The farmhouse (3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) develops over three floors. On the ground floor there are the fully equipped kitchen, the laundry room and 1 bathroom. The first floor composes of a library and a living room with fireplace and satellite TV. On the second floor there are the sleeping zone, composed of 2 double bedrooms (one featuring a balcony) and 1 bedroom with bunk bed, and 1 bathroom.


Facilities

Outside the house there is a gazebo equipped with oven, cooker, barbecue equipment with roasting-jack, table and chairs for eating al fresco.
The swimming pool is situated in panoramic position and is provided with outdoor warm shower. The sandstone poolside is furnished with sunloungers and gazebos. Water flows from a rocky wall decorating a corner of the pool.
The swimming pool is provided with night lighting system.

The farmhouse is provided with Wi-Fi Internet connection, satellite TV, stereo system, DVD player, dishwasher, washing machine, wood-burning oven and private parking.

A minimarket and some cafés are in Poggio, just 1 kilometre from the farmhouse. Post office and banks within 2 kilometres and restaurant within 3 kilometres. Supermarket in Castelnuovo Garfagnana (10 km).
