Description

The farmhouse stands in panoramic position atop a hill between Pisa and Lucca, close to the small medieval hamlet of Buti and just a few kilometres from the renowned beaches of Versilia. Olive groves and pinewoods surround the estate.

Thanks to the hilly position (300 metres above sea level) and the proximity to the sea, the area enjoys a pleasant climate all year round.

The building was part of an old 17th-century farm and has been renovated with an eye to preserving its original structure and furnished with ancient Tuscan-style furniture.

The farmhouse is an excellent starting point for one-day trips to Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano and Florence.


The Outdoors

A wide shady terrace at the front of the house gives wonderful views of the valley.

The swimming pool next to the building is supplied with water coming from a small spring, renowned for its beneficial properties.


Accommodation

The farmhouse covers an area of 400 square metres and sleeps 9 people in a twin-bedded room that can be transformed into a double-bedded room, two double-bedded rooms, one bedroom with a double and a single bed and three bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of entry hall, large completely equipped kitchen, large living/dining room with wide arches and stone fireplace, charming living room with fireplace decorated with ancient wall hangings and a toilette. The second living room opens onto a wide panoramic terrace with pergola.

The first floor composes of large and bright living room with an ancient fireplace and furniture, two double-bedded rooms with wrought-iron beds, a twin-bedded room that can be transformed into a double-bedded room, one bedroom with a double and a single bed, a small bathroom and a large bathroom with bathtub.


Facilities

Guests are granted the exclusive use of the swimming pool (11x3 m). The farmhouse is provided with Internet connection, washing machine, dishwasher and private car port. Just a few kilometres from the farmhouse are various 9 and 18-holes golf courts.


Services

Shops and services of any kind (restaurants, post office, banks, chemist`s, doctor`s surgery...) are in the ancient hamlet of Buti, 1.5 kilometres from the farmhouse.


Distances

The beaches of Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia are about 20 kilometres from the farmhouse, whereas those of Versilia are 40 kilometres away. Buti, the nearest village, is at a distance of 1.5 kilometres from the farmhouse. Lucca 20 km, Florence (airport) 60 km, Siena 186 km, Pisa (airport) 20 km.


Access to the Farmhouse

From Buti the farmhouse is reached through an uphill country road (1.5 kilometres, 700 metres of which are unsurfaced).
