Description

The farmhouse stands in the countryside around Cortona (Arezzo), in Valdichiana. In the origin, the building was a small church erected in the Middle Ages, which was then transformed into a traditional Tuscan farmhouse after 1577. Of the ancient building of worship it has maintained a series of truss-beams, a peculiar bell-shaped window and fresco representing Saint Sylvester, to whom the church was entitled. The loggia on the first floor offers a wonderful view over Valdichiana.

The farmhouse is an excellent accommodation for those who want to relax in the Tuscan countryside but also for those who dream of sporty holidays: a riding stable and a tennis club are, in fact, just a few kilometres from the estate.


The Outdoors

The wide garden that surrounds the building is furnished with tables, chairs and deck chairs.

About 20 metres from the house is the swimming pool (11x5 m). The swimming pool is shared with the owners, who live nearby and will be glad to help their guests in case of need.

The house features also an external loggia and a paved terrace with the barbecue equipment.


Accommodation

The two-storey farmhouse sleeps 5 people in 1 double-bedded room, 1 twin-bedded room and 1 single room, and 2 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are the kitchen, a large living room with fireplace, a storeroom, and a bathroom with shower.

The sleeping area is on the first floor, which composes of a double-bedded room, a room with two single beds that can be united to create a double bed, a single bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub.

An external stone stair leads to the first floor. Here, the loggia overlooks Valdichiana.


Facilities

The farmhouse is provided with swimming pool, barbecue, Internet connection, TV set, working fireplace, fridge, freezer, oven, washing machine and hair dryer.

A cook is at guests` disposal upon request.

The estate has also an uncovered car park.

Shops, restaurant and a bus stop are in Camucia (2 km).

A riding stable and a tennis club are 2 kilometres from the estate.
