Description

The farmhouse stands about 800 metres from the village of Montaione, in the heart of Empoli countryside, close to Florence and just a few kilometres from San Gimignano and Volterra. The building is immersed in the green Tuscan countryside and is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. A wide 25,000-m² park surrounds the farmhouse.

The large farmyard in front of the building is furnished with table and chairs for eating in the open air. The estate includes also 3 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and orchards.

The farmhouse is situated in strategic position, right at the centre of Tuscany. Famous cities of art, such as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca, and other important tourist destinations, such as Colle Val d`Elsa, San Gimignano and Volterra, lie within easy reach. Those who want to spend a day at the sea can easily reach the Tyrrhenian coast in less than an hour by car.


Accommodation

The farmhouse (3 double bedrooms, 2 triple bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, double sofa-bed, 1 supplementary single bed and 3 bathrooms) is divided into two independent apartments that have been recently renovated and furnished with particular care. The apartments feature brick arches, terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings: typical elements for Tuscan country houses.

Apartment Il Molino (250 m² - sleeps 10+1 - 3 double bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom, 1 single bedroom, 1 supplementary single bed and 2 bathrooms) develops over 3 floors. On the ground floor there is the kitchen/dining room with fireplace for roasting meat. The first floor composes of living room with fireplace and satellite TV, 1 double bedroom, 1 room with double bed and one single bed, 1 single bedroom (possibility of adding a supplementary single bed) and 1 bathroom with shower and bathtub. On the second floor there are 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower.

Apartment Le Volte (60 m² - sleeps 3+2 - 1 triple bedrooms, double sofa bed and 1 bathroom) is situated on the ground floor and consists in kitchen, living/dining room with satellite TV and double sofa bed, 1 triple bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment has a private fenced garden furnished for eating al fresco.


Facilities and Services

The farmhouse is provided with swimming pool, regulation-size five-a-side football pitch, barbecue equipment, satellite TV, washing machine, dishwasher, DVD player, stereo system with CD player, private parking and children`s playground. Toddlers bed available upon request. Pets are welcome.

Numerous pathways wind around the estate for long walks, bicycle- and horse-rides. Tennis club and the 18-holes golf-course of the Castelfalfi Golf Club nearby.

Shops and services of any kind, including two supermarkets, are in Montaione historical centre, 800 metres from the farmhouse.
