Description

The elegant stone building in Arezzo countryside was in origin the house of the property's owners. The villa is thought to have been built in the late 19th century on the ruins of a previous building, and has been recently renovated.

With its two rows of arches, the front of the building reproduces the style en vogue at the time of Grand Duke Leopold of Lorraine. The beautiful rooms with beamed ceilings and terracotta-tile floors are elegantly and cosily furnished.

The loggia on the first floor affords wonderful views of the surrounding hills and the nearby town of Arezzo.

A tennis club and a riding stable are a few kilometres from the villa. Arezzo, Cortona, Sansepolcro, Anghiari, Caprese Michelangelo, the most important towns in Casentino, Valdichiana, Valdarno and Valtiberina, as well as Siena, Florence and many other Tuscan and central-Italy cities of art are easily reached by car and by train.


The Outdoors

A wide garden facing the valley below stretches out around the building.

The private swimming pool (12x5 m; depth: 1.40 m) a few metres from the house is exclusively reserved to guests.

A large dining table sitting 12 is under the ground-floor loggia for al-fresco meals.


Accommodation

The villa is a two-storey building that sleeps 12 guests in 6 double bedrooms and has 6 bathrooms.

Both floors compose of kitchen, living room, dining room and three double bedrooms with their own private bathroom. A bedroom on the ground floor and one on the first floor can be converted into twin rooms.

The first floor is accessed from the garden both by a stone staircase and a wooden bridge accessible to people with disabilities.

The loggia on the first floor is equipped with a wood burning oven.
