Description

The beautiful villa stands in panoramic position atop a hill in the Chianti Classico region, a few kilometres from Greve in Chianti, in the countryside south of Florence.

The original complex, a fortress dating from the 11th century, was destroyed in the first half of the 16th century during the war between Siena and Florence that brought bloodshed to the Tuscan countryside for centuries.

The main villa was then rebuilt and still features large halls, exposed beams and lacunar ceilings.

Thanks to its position in the heart of Tuscany, the villa is an excellent departure point for visiting Florence, Siena, Pisa, Arezzo, the whole Chianti district, Monteriggioni, Colle Val d'Elsa and many other famous cities of art.


The Outdoors

The villa is surrounded by a wide panoramic terrace commanding the valley below. A porch is furnished with table and chairs for having meals al fresco.

In the garden on the lower level are the private swimming pool (10x5 m; depth: 1.50-3 m) and an external shower.

The barbecue equipment is at guests' disposal.


Accommodation

The villa is a three-storey building that sleeps 8 guests in 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, and has 5 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are the entry hall, the kitchen with direct outdoor access, the dining room, the laundry room and a bathroom with shower. Some steps lead to a basement room with dining area and billiard table.
The first floor composes of living room with fireplace and access to a wide terrace, study/TV room, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub.
The second floor consists of living room with fireplace and two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with bathtub.

The villa is equipped with swimming pool, external shower, barbecue, fireplace, billiard table, satellite TV, oven, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, private car parking place.

The villa is cleaned on Wednesdays (mandatory service, additional charges apply).
