Description

The villa (6 sleeping accommodations) is situated in Valdelsa, close to Monteriggioni and a few kilometres from Siena. Originally a small country school, the building has been converted into a magnificent luxury villa furnished with good taste and provided with all comforts. In the 600-m² garden surrounding the villa there are the swimming pool (10x5 m; depth: 1.20-2.50 m), at guests’ disposal from May to October, and the barbecue equipment. The villa features also an outdoor area furnished with table and chairs for eating al fresco enjoying the breathtaking panorama.

In the neighbourhood of the villa, immersed in the green Sienese countryside, stand two imposing castles: the Castello della Villa dates back to the 12th century, whereas the Castello della Chiocciola was built in the 13th century. The latter owes its name to its wonderful spiral staircase (the Italian for “spiral staircase” is, in fact, “scala a chiocciola”).

Nature lovers can indulge in strolling, mountain biking or horse riding along the pathways surrounding the villa.

The villa stands just a few kilometres from the wonderful Siena, renowned all over the world because of its famous Palio; other important tourist destinations, such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle Val d’Elsa and Certaldo lie within easy distance. The villa is also the ideal departure point for visiting the Sienese Chianti and for one-day trips to Florence.

The villa (3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms) composes of living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, 2 double bedrooms (one provided with en-suite bathroom with shower), 1 twin-bedded room with en-suite bathroom with shower, storeroom and 1 bathroom with shower.
The French door in the living room opens onto the outdoor area furnished with table and chairs. The two double bedrooms open onto the garden and the swimming pool.

The villa is provided with private swimming pool (10x5 m; depth: 1.20-2.50 m), open from May to October, barbecue equipment, satellite TV, stereo system, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge, freezer, iron and ironing board. At guests’ disposal: cot and high chair for children. Riding stable 3 kilometres from the villa.
The villa is entered through a gate. Private parking.
