Description

The villa stands in panoramic position atop a hill in Valdelsa, just a few kilometres from San Gimignano ( Siena ). The windows and the garden afford a wonderful view of the surrounding villages and hills, covered with vineyards and olive groves. The swimming pool commands the famous towers of San Gimignano . The estate is situated near an ancient village along the Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrimage road connecting northern Europe to Rome and Jerusalem.

The villa was built in the 19th century and in the origin was a farmhouse. The elegant building has been recently renovated with an eye to preserving its original structure and presents many traditional elements of the Tuscan rustic style, including exposed beamed ceilings, terracotta-tiled floors and a brick vaulted ceiling.

The villa is an excellent lodging for those who want to relax walking or bike riding in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, but also for art and culture lovers: the villa is an excellent departure point for visiting San Gimignano , Colle Val d`Elsa, Florence , Pisa , Siena , Lucca and many other important Tuscan tourist destinations.


The Outdoors

The villa is surrounded by a wide fully fenced garden that commands the surrounding valley and hills and the town of San Gimignano .

The private swimming pool (7.80x14.70 m; depth: 1.20-2.40 m) that lies about 20 metres from the villa is provided with a night lighting system. The solarium area is furnished with deck chairs and sunshades. An external shower is next to the swimming pool.

The garden and the adjacent farmyard are furnished with tables and chairs for having meals al fresco. In the garden are also a wood-burning oven and the barbecue equipment.

The garden separates the villa from the laundry room, the billiard room and the gym. In the garden is also a table-tennis table.


Accommodation

The villa is a two-storey building sleeps 12+2 guests in 5 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 double sofa bed, and has 5 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are a living room with double sofa bed and direct access to the garden, a room with the toys for children, a bar area with well-equipped kitchenette and access to the paved terrace, three double bedrooms (two with ensuite bathroom with shower), a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower and bathtub.
The first floor composes of a large living area with fireplace, a second living room with library, the well-equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom with whirlpool bathtub) and a bathroom with shower.
