We absolutely LOVED Villa Francesca and Bagni Di Lucca. The house was built in the 1400s, is a 3 story beautiful villa, and is situated above a small town with an unbelievable view over looking the valley. The outside dining area, the pool and lounging area, and the the grounds in general are lovely! The villa is spacious, the bathrooms are updated, and the owners of the property could not be more welcoming and sweet. There is a walking path down into to the town with great restaurants, a supermarket and wine shop. We took day excursions to both Pisa, and Lucca by train - very fun for the kids for sure. We will visit again soon!
We loved our stay at Villa Francesca. The setup is perfect for 4 couples with each room having it's own bathroom and there were plenty of areas for sitting around, lazing by the pool or out in the sunshine. Everything we needed was supplied and our hosts were very friendly, even helping us out with some tools when we needed to make some running repairs on a suitcase. Thanks for having us!
From the warm welcome by Francesca to the final minute, this was a spectacular holiday villa in a wonderfully beautiful location. We love it !viv
The villa is exquisite - every corner of the house and garden gave us great aesthetic pleasure, an aspect of the place which cannot simply be reproduced in photographs. VIlla Francesca is also extremely comfortable and well-equipped. The pool is fabulous - and we were blessed with great weather at the end of September, so we were in and out of it all day. The view from the front of the villa looks out across the valley onto the lush green hill opposite, and beyond. At the back of the villa, you walk down the path and out onto a quiet, old, wide cobbled street past other houses of historic note and take a beautiful walk into the little town. Francesca, the owner, made everything so easy and relaxing for us, it couldn't have been better, and ensured a most memorable holiday for us all.
