Description

The villa (12 sleeping accommodations) stands in panoramic position atop a hill at the foot of the Apuan Alps, not far from the most famous beaches of the northern Tuscan coast - Versilia and Forte dei Marmi - and from the Cinque Terre. The terraces of the villa offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding olive groves and chestnut and oak forest; the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Gulf of Portovenere, one of the pearls of the Ligurian coast, are to be seen in the distance. This ancient tower was built around 1400 to defend the nearby Malaspina castle. Tradition and modernity coexist in the elegant and luxurious interiors, decorated with old prints and antiques. The rooms have terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings. The villa is provided with all comforts (satellite TV, Internet connection, barbecue, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, CD player, stereo system, ceiling fans in every room). At guests` disposal: the private swimming pool situated in an olive grove near the building and provided with Jacuzzi and a selection of English books. Possibility of dining outdoor in the patio furnished with a dining table and elegant rattan armchairs. Upon request: possibility of organising excursions and guided tours in the neighbourhood. The villa is an excellent starting point for visiting some of the most famous tourist destinations in Tuscany and Liguria, such as Viareggio, Lucca, Forte dei Marmi, Lerici, Portovenere and Portofino, as well as important cities of art and culture, such as Pisa, Florence and Siena, all within easy car distance.


Accommodation

The villa (6 double bedrooms and 7 bathrooms) spreads out over four floors, accessible by the internal staircase or lift. The ground floor composes of fully equipped kitchen, dining room with fireplace, wine cellar, sauna room with Jacuzzi, 2 double bedrooms accessible from outside with en-suite bathroom with shower and 1 powder room. The first floor composes of living room with fireplace and satellite TV and 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. On the second floor there are 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower and on the third floor there is 1 bedroom with two single beds that can be joined upon request and en-suite bathroom with shower. All rooms are provided with ceiling fans.
