Everybody knows it: taking holidays means pull the plug out, forget work, school, home and everyday life and relax and tone up both body and mind.
Why, then, not to think about spending your holidays in a thermal resort in Tuscany?

There are more or less 30 thermal resorts in the region. And most of them are in the province of Siena. So if you are looking for a farmhouse or a villa in Siena , you could also take into consideration the possibility of allowing yourself some days at the thermal baths.

In the following lines we want to focus our attention on the other thermal resorts in the province of Siena: San Casciano dei Bagni, Bagni San Filippo, Rapolano Terme, and Bagno Vignoni.

San Casciano dei Bagni (one of the most beautiful villages in Italy) is 90 kilometres south of Siena, The Etruscan and the Roman already knew the therapeutic properties of its springs, from which water flows out at about 42°C.

Bagni San Filippo, in the municipality of Castiglione d`Orcia, is 65 kilometres from the town of the Palio. Lorenzo the Magnificent loved relaxing in its waters.

Rapolano Terme is less than 30 kilometres from Siena.

Bagno Vignoni (in the municipality of San Quirico) is something unique: it develops not around a square but around a basin full of water at 52°C.
