Many of the villas situated in the territory of the province of Pisa were designed by the architect Luigi Bellincioni. This is the case of Villa Baciocchi, once owned by Napoleon`s sister, Elisa, and her husband, Earl Felice Baciocchi, and of Villa La Torre in Capannoli, as well as of Villa Fehr in Vicopisano.
Bellincioni worked also to Villa Crastan in Pontedera: in fact, the famous architect, extremely active in the province of Pisa, designed the gate of the villa.
Immersed in the green Tuscan countryside, almost all the villas in the province of Pisa have magnificent parks rich in long-trunked trees, sometimes of extra-European origin.
