Description

The farmhouse is situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico district, in San Gusmè, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga (Siena). The house is part of the big complex of Villa Arceno, an important 18th-century villa surrounded by a park of 16 hectares.

The house is a portion of a farmhouse free on three sides that has been recently renovated and furnished in an elegant rustic style.

Guests can have pleasant excursions among the vineyards and the woods in the estate, visit the wide 16-hectare park and participate in tastings at the winery nearby.

Thanks to its geographical position, the farmhouse is an excellent point of departure for trips to Siena, the Florentine and Sienese Chianti district and the Val d`Orcia.


The Outdoors

The farmhouse features a wide garden of about 2,000 square metres exclusively reserved to guests. The garden is furnished with two outdoor tables with chairs, two deck chairs and a sunshade.

A wisteria pergola is furnished for guests to have their meals al fresco.

The farmhouse features also a fenced swimming pool (16x5 m; depth: 1.20-3 m) to be shared with other two portions of the same complex. The swimming pool is about 50 metres from the building and is open from May 15th to September 15th. The pool side is furnished with sun loungers and sunshades.


Accommodation

The farmhouse is a two-storey building; it sleeps 4+2 people in 1 double-bedded room, 1 twin-bedded room + 1 double sofa bed, and has 3 bathrooms.

On the ground floor are the equipped kitchen with fireplace; a large living room with fireplace, satellite TV, a computer with Internet connection and a double sofa bed; two bathrooms with shower.

The first floor composes of a double-bedded room, a room with two single beds that can be united to create a double bed and a bathroom with shower.

The farmhouse is provided with swimming pool to be shared with other two portions of the same complex, wireless Internet connection, working fireplaces, satellite TV, DVD player, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, hair dryer, safe and private covered parking place.

Baby-sitting and maid services are available upon request (additional charges apply).

A post office, cafes, a restaurant and a food shop are in San Gusmè, about 1.5 kilometres from the estate.
Other shops and services are in Castelnuovo Berardenga (4 km).

Access to the Farmhouse

The farmhouse is accessed through 1,500 metres of unsurfaced white road. The road is well tended and practicable at any time of the year.
