Description

The castle is part of a large farm situated in Valdichiana, between Chianciano Terme and Montepulciano, in the province of Siena.

The castle was founded by a soldier of fortune in the second half of the 15th century and took its actual form in the 19th century. The other buildings of the farm were built around the central part of the castle, the one that is rented, in the course of the centuries.

The impressive building in red bricks and travertine, whose rooms decorated in the traditional Sienese style have retained their medieval atmosphere, and the wide park are an excellent location for celebrating weddings and special events.

Tastings of the olive oil and wine produced in the farm are organised upon request.

The complex is just 4 kilometres from Chianciano Terme thermal baths and is also an excellent departure point for visiting many important Tuscan cities of art, including Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Siena, Cortona, Anghiari and Arezzo, which are all within short driving distance. Nature lovers can visit the nearby Lake of Chiusi natural protected area. A tennis club, a riding stable and a golf club are just a few kilometres from the farm.


The Outdoors

The castle is surrounded by a wide Italian garden in which lies a fenced swimming pool (8x4 m; depth: 1.40 m), equipped with sun loungers and deck chairs and exclusively reserved to the guests of the castle. A second fenced swimming pool (10x20 m; depth: 1.50 m) is at the disposal of the guests of the castle as well as of the other guests of the farm. The second swimming pool, too, is furnished with sun loungers and deck chairs.

The castle features a beautiful internal courtyard.

A table and the barbecue equipment are at guests' disposal for having meals al fresco.


Accommodation

The castle is a two-storey building that sleeps 12+2 guests in 3 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms and 2 supplementary single beds, and has 2 bathrooms with shower, 2 bathrooms with bathtub and 1 half bathroom.

On the ground floor are the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a single bedroom, a bathroom and a half bathroom.
A beautiful staircase leads to the first floor, which composes of a large living room, two double bedrooms (one with an ensuite bathroom), a twin bedroom, a single bedroom and two bathrooms.
Two supplementary single beds are available upon request.

The first floor has an access to a balcony overlooking the internal courtyard and the garden.

The castle is equipped with two swimming pools, barbecue, working fireplace, Internet connection, satellite TV, DVD player, gas oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, cot beds and private car parking place.
