Description

The elegant villa is a "Residenza d`epoca" (a historic manor house dating from the year 1000 AD) situated in Sansepolcro (Arezzo), in Tuscan Valtiberina. The central tower is all that remains of the first part of the house. The villa has been recently renovated with an eye to preserving the original architectonic structure and furnished with period items. In the richly frescoed rooms guests will breathe the magic atmosphere of bygone times.

The private hallowed chapel in the estate is an excellent location for celebrating weddings in a spellbinding atmosphere, surrounded by the green Tuscan hills, just a few kilometres from Piero della Francesca`s hometown.

Arezzo, Anghiari, Monterchi, Florence and many other tourist destinations are easily reached by car for pleasant one-day trips.
A few kilometres from the villa are also a tennis club, a riding stable, a golf club and the spas of Città di Castello.
The owners live in proximity to the villa and will be glad to help guests in case of need.


The Outdoors

The elegant 19th-century wrought-iron automatic gate opens onto the wide fully fenced 2000-square-metre garden, which is exclusively reserved to guests. The park is equipped with outdoor furniture and a barbecue, and commands the wonderful surrounding countryside.

The private swimming pool (5x10 m; depth: 1.50 m) overlooks the valley of Sansepolcro. Equipped with sun loungers and sunshades, the swimming pool is exclusively reserved to guests. Next to the swimming pool is a bathroom with a warm shower.

The two-storey villa sleeps 9 people in 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 triple bedroom, and has 3 bathrooms.
The ground floor composes of a small kitchen, dining room, living room and a frescoed hall/gallery.
On the first floor are a second frescoed hall/gallery, a triple bedroom, two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a bathroom with shower and a bathroom with bathtub.
The twin bedroom is in a separate wing of the villa and is accessed through external stairs.

The villa is equipped with swimming pool, barbecue, Internet connection, satellite TV, DVD player, video cassette recorder, oven, freezer, dishwasher, cot bed, bicycles and private car parking place.

A cook is available upon request.
